Private 2-Day Aizu Journey by Chartered Car | Castle Town & Ouchi-juku

A stress-free Aizu trip with a one-party-per-day private car

Just a few hours from Tokyo, Aizu offers depth rather than “one big attraction”—a place where everyday life, craftsmanship, and quiet devotion connect into a single atmosphere.
This 2-day / 1-night model course reduces travel stress with a private car, letting you experience both the history of a castle town and an overnight stay in a thatched-roof post town. With no worries about snowy roads or moving luggage, you can enjoy the scenery from the window and the air of the land itself as part of the journey.

〔Aizu-Wakamatsu & Ouchi-juku: 2 Days / 1 Night Private Tour〕

●(Model Course) Chartered Car / Dedicated Driver / Flexible Start & End Points
This is a model itinerary. Your start/end location (station or hotel), stops, and time allocation can be adjusted to your preferences.
Transportation is assumed to be a time-based charter (sightseeing hire car).

●(Tour Content)
Your journey travels from Aizu-Wakamatsu to Iimoriyama and onward to Ouchi-juku.
In the castle town, you’ll visit sites connected to the Byakkotai and the uniquely designed Sazae-do (Entsu Sansodo), tracing Aizu’s history from a lived, local perspective.
Then, you’ll head to the mountain post town of Ouchi-juku. After daytime crowds fade, time around the irori hearth in a thatched-roof inn feels less like “sightseeing” and more like “coming home.”

〔Trip Theme (Highlights)〕

●Easier travel = a deeper trip: Door-to-door by private car. Less stress about driving in winter conditions or handling luggage—your vehicle becomes a private space throughout the journey.
●Experience the castle town’s craftsmanship: Hands-on Aizu lacquerware experience (e.g., polishing chopsticks) at Human Hub Tenneiji Soko to feel the technique and aesthetics firsthand.
●Stay in a thatched-roof post town: By spending both evening and morning in Ouchi-juku, the scenery shifts from “tourist spot” to a “place where life happens.”
